Our little twenty month old monkey is sure keeping us on our toes! I can't leave him alone for a second... otherwise I will find him climbing pantry shelves, standing on his chair to reach things, knocking over his brother's puzzles, or dumping bags of crackers on the floor. I don't remember Jacob and Gavin being so high maintenance at this age, but maybe I was more on top of things before having three kids. :)
Even though I still see him as my baby, I guess the time has come for some discipline. :)

The Spring Fair
It was a gorgeous day for the Spring Fair! Jacob, Gavin, and Casey were more than excited to go with their bestest girls, Kailey and Lexi. Too bad we waited in this huge line only to find out we could have walked right in with our tickets! :)
Picking up a scone first thing has quickly become a fair tradition.
This robot was the craziest, coolest thing ever. He was talking to our kiddos like he knew everything about them (mostly because he overheard my friend and I talking). I could NOT figure out how it was working because there was no way an adult could fit inside there.
Thankfully, my friend Wendi is super smart and she figured out that this guy was talking for the robot through a pretend drink/microphone. Pretty clever!
We let our kids go on all their favorite fair rides.
Since Casey wasn't yet big enough to go on the rides, his favorite parts were coloring the giant mural,
banging on the instruments,
...and petting the animals.

Jacob's WOW award
Jacob was one of four students in his class to be chosen for a WOW (Wolves of Wonder) award. When I got an invitation to the assembly, I wasn't aware of what a big deal it was. I found out that instead of focusing on single character traits, these students had demonstrated the best effort and all around behavior this year. Jacob was one of three boys in kindergarten (the only boy in his class) to receive an award!
Waiting anxiously with his classmates
The four students who were chosen from Mrs. Dent's class
Shaking hands with Mrs. Dent and Principal Kovacs
All twelve kiddos with their teachers
Jacob couldn't stop staring at his certificate. :)
I think, especially being a teacher, you wonder how your kids are going to do in school. So it was truly an honor to watch my little guy standing up there. YEAH JACOB. I couldn't be more proud of you buddy!

A walk down memory lane...
April 15th was one of the most special, memorable days in my world. My heart starts pounding just thinking about it. It is so hard to believe that it all happened ten years ago today... because I remember it like it was yesterday. :)

Jacob's new look
Jacob first tooth fell out today! I got to see for the first time that losing a tooth doesn't have to be so traumatic. :) I was surprised... shocked actually, that it came out. We've been wiggling it each day for about two weeks now, but it was still barely loose.
We were eating at Burger King with my mom when all of a sudden Jacob gasped and said, "Mommy, my tooth fell out!" Sure enough, there it was in his little hand. (Good thing he didn't swallow it!) There were a lot of emotions. His eyes were big with surprise at first... then he started crying. I think it hurt a little since it wasn't very loose yet. It worked out perfectly though because he happened to have a milkshake to make it all better.
If you read the link above, you will know that Jacob also is afraid of the tooth fairy. So we tucked his tooth under his pillow and I promised him that he would not see the tooth fairy. Then he made me promise that he wouldn't even see the pixie dust. After I promised that too, he is finally sleeping soundly. :)

Easter day
We had a really great Easter filled with family, smiles, and happy memories. The boys were pretty excited to wake up to their Easter baskets full of candy!
The Easter bunny (aka Daddy)hid plastic eggs all over the house. He found some really interesting, fun places... so just when we thought the hunting was over, it just kept on going!
Thankfully, he also left some eggs laying on the carpet so Casey could easily collect them for his basket. His brothers were really gracious and made sure to leave the "easy" ones for Casey.
He was super proud. :)
Jacob immediately wanted to count his eggs (as Sy sniffed out each one) and kept telling people all day that he found 29.
Since both sides of our family live a few hours north, we usually go up there to celebrate the holidays. However, Adam's brother/sister-in-law and my sister/brother-in-law were on vacation with their kids for spring break. So we invited my mom and Adam's parents to Easter dinner at our house! It was the first time I've ever hosted a holiday dinner and the first time Adam's grandpa had been to our house. It was so nice to have both sides of our family together, without driving all around! Everything was super relaxed and we had a great time. I especially enjoyed watching all of the grandparents love on our boys.
Jacob and Gavin with Papa
Gavin had some bonding time with Great-Grandpa Kahn
I love this picture of Gavin showing his great grandpa his missing teeth. :)
Daddy and Casey
Casey loved Grammy's famous apple pie!
He had a lot of different emotions about Easter.
All in all, it was a great day. The best part though, amongst all of the eggs, candy, and food... Jacob can tell anyone who asks the true meaning of Easter. :)
