Papa and GG's house

We spent the day after Thanksgiving at Papa and GG's house (Adam's parents :)  Casey dove into the toy box for the trains as soon as we got there!
Adam's mom has a knack for cooking, decorating, hosting... she knows just how to make every holiday memorable and special.
She bought the cousins these hats and made a giant gingerbread cookie for them to decorate.
Tadaa!  Beautiful on the outside and yummy in the tummy!
You will also find our boys at the piano a great majority of the day.
Their papa will usually join in and play/sing with them.
Their papa also likes to show them outdoor Christmas lights on You Tube that blink to the beat of music.  :)  Casey loved it and kept pointing at the computer and saying, "House again!  House again!"
We always celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday on Thanksgiving weekend too.  As soon as Casey saw the candle (or any candle, for that matter) he said, "Happy birbay!  Happy birbay!"  So the boys got pumpkin pie, gingerbread cookies, AND birthday cake all in one day.  They were super happy about it too.

I am thankful for the sweetest, most beautiful niece on the inside and out...

I am thankful for cousins who have been best friends from the day they were born...
I am thankful for that special, forever bond that only sisters can share...
I am thankful that she has a husband to keep her soul laughing and her heart loved...
I am thankful for yummy turkey to make us drowsy...
 I am thankful for laughter...

 and the look of wonder...

I am thankful for the sparkle in the eyes of my boys as they open early Christmas presents from their Grandpa and Grandma...

I'm thankful for a dad who stays involved in our lives (even when he is far away) and how he always makes a point to say the nicest things about our boys...
I'm thankful for family!

*S*N*O*W*

My boys have been having so. much. fun in this snow!  Especially since their daddy came home early to play in it with us!  The first day we just had some trace amounts.

There was enough to build a mini-snowman though...
...and more had accumulated by the evening to make snow angels. :)

The next day brought more snow but Jakey still had school!  Crazy!  Here he is walking with his daddy to the bus stop.
Meanwhile, Gavin and I played in the backyard.  He was determined to make his own snowman, so we each created our own masterpiece.
I decided to make a potato head snowman... with a coffee mug, of course.  ;)
Adam just went for the biggest, most gigantic snowball possible.
Then we came in for hot chocolate and cookies!

Later that night, Casey was able join in on the fun too.  (He was napping during our earlier adventures. :)

It was a blustery night, but we still managed to go sledding on the hill outside our house.  We even drove up to sled at the high school nearby and had the entire place to ourselves!

This morning was the perfect snow day.  Everything had frozen from the night before but the sun was out and it didn't even feel that cold outside.

Adam always loves to pull the boys on the sled behind his mini-motorcycle.  These boys are so lucky to have such a fun daddy to play with!

Casey was even brave enough to join in on the fun this year.

We LOVE the snow!

Well... most of the time.  ;)
