My hubby turned 40 this month 

(Even though he wasn't super happy about this one!)

  When I asked how he wanted to celebrate this milestone a few months ago, he said just a laid-back evening at his parent's house.  So that's what we did!  

I didn't want to go with the whole "Over the Hill" theme... 

so we lightened it up a bit with "What's one more candle?"  ;)

 The boys loved helping decorate for their daddy's party!

 We went to a movie with his brother and sister-in-law, 

then celebrated at his parent's house with fondue, ribs, and cupcakes!

 German chocolate are his fav!!

 Happy Birthday honey!  I'm so blessed to be your wife!

 The kids always love dressing up and ringing in the new year!

(Of course, we will get away with 9:00 as long as we can!)

 Ella was playing a game where she would run to mommy for a hug, run to GG for a hug, and run to Jacob for a hug!  Over and over!

 I loved watching Ella come down the stairs to Christmas the next morning... such a sweet age!
I can't believe it was this time last year when we brought her home!

 Later that night, we drove down the see my sister.

Everyone in awe of Maddie's new cell phone.

Since Ella and Casey hadn't been feeling the best, they stayed with Daddy.

   Meanwhile, the cousins played with their new toys and we enjoyed some tea and my sister's yummy apple pie!
