Into the woods

Getting our Christmas tree is one of my favorite traditions. Especially adding little boys to the mix... it's the best. Gavin was all over walking through the trees and tripping over the stumps. He just got right back up and was on his way! Jacob is a little more sensitive to tripping over stumps, so he stayed on the cart as we searched for that perfect tree. You know, the one that lights up and music starts playing as soon as you find it? Adam and I always joke about that with our kids, "Look! Do you see the lights? Do you hear the music?"

Adam got a chainsaw for Father's Day this year, so he really wanted to use it to cut down our tree. No such luck. I guess we'll have to go out into the real woods for that.
Gavin, for some reason, felt like every branch on the ground belonged in a tree. So he made it his personal mission to pick them up and carefully return them.

This was super funny. Adam asked Jacob in the car if we were going to get a pink tree or a green tree. To which Jacob replied, "Daddy. There are no pink trees!" So how funny is it that we found a pink tree?
Gavin was really into helping Daddy cut down the tree. He immediately went right under there with him.
Here is the finished product!

I just posted about the same tradition! Your tree looks nice. What kind did you get?

We got a noble tree for the first time last year. We really loved it so now there's no going back!
